1 Corinthians 3:18-21

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

1 Corinthians 3:18-21

The context of the chapter is our service for God and is directed toward babes in Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

He warns of the Judgment Seat of Christ which we all have to stand before and give an accounting of our lifes. Then the warning of verse 18: “If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.” If you think yourself wise in the worldly wisdom, you need to forget it and become wise in spiritual wisdom. You need to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s word (KJV) and use that wisdom to judge all things.

1 Corinthians 2:14-15 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

In other words, quit walking and thinking in the flesh and start walking and thinking in the Spirit.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Renew your mind with the diligent study of the Bible.
