Are Saved vs Being Saved

Are you one of those He is saving?
There is a vast difference between ‘are saved’ and ‘being saved’. Many of the new versions of the Bible have us, those who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, as being in the process of being saved, as if trusting in Christ just opened the opportunity to be saved rather than saving.
Changing the Bible to read ‘being saved’, or ‘on the way to being saved’, etc., is a little leaven that opens the door to leavening the whole lump. If you are being saved, on the way to salvation, what determines whether you will eventually get there and be saved? There is only one choice: your works, your own efforts.
We know that works and grace are mutually exclusive. Add works into the gospel and grace is the baby being thrown out with the bath water.
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Romans 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
We see that adding works; keeping the law, doing good, into the gospel removes grace and faith from the gospel leaving only salvation by works, which many use these changes to promote.
It is obvious that any version that changes ‘are saved’ to ‘being saved’ lends itself to the false teaching that works play a part in eternal salvation. Whatever version you use requires an interpretation that matches the words it uses.
Whether by works no matter how slight to obtain or maintain salvation equates to salvation by works, which is a perversion of the Bible, why use a translation that lends itself to false teaching?
Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
