For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

1 Peter 4:17

If you are saved, have trusted that Christ Jesus was the Son of God and that he died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day, then you will stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Our salvation will not be in question, that is secure, but our works; what we did or did not do, even what we thought, after being saved is what shall be judged. Of course one of the first questions will be, ‘did you study God’s word or did you ignore Him?’

2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Timothy 2:15 (Thou) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The command to study and rightly divide the word of truth is an individual command to each and every one of the saints.

Living life for Christ is easy if you direct your heart to him and impossible if you direct it toward the world.

2 Timothy 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with Godwhosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Even His own can be his enemy for not to give yourself wholly to God is to hinder the work of God.

A further description of the judgment of the saints is given in 1 Corinthians.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

If you die lost without Christ you will stand before the Great White Throne judgment.

Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
